A COLOURFUL parade was held on Saturday when the Territorial Army and Cadet Forces marched through Uxbridge High Street.

The 47th Signal Squadron, based in Honeycroft Hill, Uxbridge, exercised their Freedom of Uxbridge and were accompanied by the Inns of Court Yeomanry Territorial Army Band when they marched to the Civic Centre.

On arrival, they were met by Mayor of Hillingdon, Councillor Brian Crowe at 2.40pm who honoured members of the forces who have been on operations with medals.

They set off from Bakers Road, in Uxbridge, bringing Saturday shoppers to a standstill who stood by to pay tribute to the brave efforts of the squadron.
