HEAVY snowfall which has added to the large amount dumped on the borough since last night is continuing to cause chaos this morning (Monday).

Residents and commuters across Hillingdon have been waking to a total white-out that has seen schools shut and roads brought to a near standstill.

Buses have been suspended while tubes and trains operate at a severely limited capacity.

Hillingdon Council has teams of workers out on the streets with gritting equipment but everyone is being urged to check travel websites before heading out.

The snow is one of the heaviest seen for more than 18 years and more is being predicted to fall in the next few hours.
