HUNDREDS of pupils have had an early start to the Christmas break after snow forced the closure of at least nine schools across Harrow.
Today would have been the last day of the autumn term for the majority of children but a heavy downfall overnight means some lessons have been cancelled.
The schools confirmed shut are:

The Moriah Jewish Day School, Cannon Lane, Pinner
Vaughan Nursery, First and Middle School, Vaughan Road, West Harrow
Whitmore High School, Porlock Avenue, West Harrow
Alexandra School, Alexandra Avenue, South Harrow
Little Stanmore Nursery, First and Middle School, St David's Drive, Edgware
Bentley Wood High School For Girls, Bridges Road, Stanmore
St John's C of E School, Green Lane, Stanmore
Heathland School, Eastcote Lane, South Harrow.
