THE final bell has tolled for The Chimes as it moves ‘intu’ the future. The High Street shopping centre held its official launch over the weekend when its new ‘intu Uxbridge’ sign was unveiled.
The weekend of fun and games included a beach area being created in the shopping centre and performances and live music, including a show on Sunday by former X-Factor contestant Lucy Spraggon.
Marketing manager at intu Uxbridge, Donna Watson, told the Gazette it was a fun weekend.
She said: “We were absolutely heaving.
“There were lots of offers on at the stores and we got lots of positive feedback from both them and the people who came to the centre over the weekend.
“We were really blessed with the weather too so in all we are delighted with how everything went.”
