WEST 12 Shopping Centre is helping fight heart disease and is asking Shepherd’s Bush residents to dig deep to do their bit.

The centre, in Shepherd’s Bush Green, launched their Big Donation month where visitors can bring their unwanted clothing, shoes, accessories, CDs, books, toys and bric-a-brac until September 30.

Every bag of donated items could raise as much as £20 or more for British Heart Foundation and the goods will be sent to be sold at the charity’s shops across London. They will pocket 100 per cent of the profits.

Gavin Waller, centre manager, said: “We are delighted to be hosting a Big Donation event. More than 25,000 people in the UK die every year from heart disease, which is a shocking statistic and I am sure the local community will get fully behind the campaign.”

Sue Beale, BHF area manager, said: “Everyone involved with the British Heart Foundation works tirelessly in the fight against heart disease. This is a great opportunity to have a big clear-out and help a fantastic cause.”

Furniture and electrical items can also be donated by calling 0844 412 5000 or by visiting www.bhf.org.uk/bigdonation.
