People living in the Shepherd's Bush Green ward can take advantage of a free home visit by energy experts to help lower their bills.

Part of the RE:NEW capital-wide initiative, it would include a visit by advisers from Climate Energy to carry out a survey and see where free energy saving devices can be installed.

They include light bulbs, standby switches and energy monitors while residents over 70 could be eligible for a free cavity wall or full loft insulation.

Councillor Greg Smith, council leader for residents' services, said: “At a time when energy costs are soaring, the RE:NEW scheme is a welcome initiative to help our residents save money on water bills.”
