A DISABLED driver has had to be cut out of her car this morning after it overturned at the roundabout of High Road Eastcote and Field End Road.

The woman in her 30s crashed her Jeep Cherokee at about 6.30am and suffered minor injuries. But a fire crew from Harrow decided that because of her disability she would need to be carefully extricated from the wreckage.

A crew from London Ambulance Service took her to Watford General Hospital but her injuries were not life threatening.

Police closed the road while the vehicle was removed, causing major delays during the morning rush hour.

One driver told the Gazette: "Traffic was chaos, all the local feeder roads were virtually at a standstill."
