Scouts and guides led the remembrance day parade in Bedfont on Sunday (9).

The sun was shining as the 2nd Bedfont (St Mary's) scout and guide group and members of the Hatton and Bedfont Royal British Legion were joined by more than 200 people in a poignant march at the memorial in Bedfont.

A two minutes silence was observed, before a short service of commemoration.

Bedfont and Hatton British Legion president, John Wethers, said: "It is heartening to see so many people join us for this act of commemoration, particularly in this year reflecting on the start of World War I and the 70th anniversary of the D day landings.

"I would like to thank everybody who joined us today."

People across the borough in Feltham , Isleworth and Heston also honoured fallen soldiers and marked the centenary of the First World War.
