A SCHOOLGIRL hit by a car as she crossed the road in Heston is 'recovering well'.

The five-year-old girl was taken to hospital after a crash in Vicarage Farm Road last Monday (May 16), shortly before 6pm.

A police spokeswoman this week told the Chronicle: "She's doing very well. She's still in hospital but she's recovering well."

A 26-year-old man was arrested on the day of the crash and bailed to return for police questioning.
