Creatively-themed shop windows are a regular feature of Pinner's Pantomime Evening but this year a business owner has created one good enough to eat.

Paul Linden, owner of Dining in Style, in High Street, Pinner, was inspired by the Observer's campaign to Save Pinner's Christmas Pantomime and designed a cake to celebrate the evening.

Paul said: "We have supported and contributed to Pantomime Evening right from the start and we were horrified to learn it might be cancelled. We wondered how to help promote the event and decided to do what we do best - we started baking."

The scrumptious looking cake depicts pantomime characters from Jack and the Beanstalk and Cinderella and has quickly become a local talking point.

Paul said: "It is definitely attracting attention. We have been in Pinner for 20 years and over time we have seen the popularity of the evening increase. It is a brilliant event for the whole community, especially the children."
