NOT content with being the face of 'saintly' MPs, Kingston and Surbiton's Edward Davey's expense-free lifestyle is now documented in a new children's book.

People Who Help Us: Member of Parliament is part of a series of books looking at public figures and explaining what their job is. Other jobs dissected in the hardback books include fire fighters, famers and police officers.

Mr Davey posed for dozens of photographs for the book, and was paid with copies which he plans to give to schools in his constituency.

He helped to launch the book at Maple Infants School, in Surbiton, which also features in the book, last Friday. "It's an honour to be asked to be involved in something like this and a good chance to explain to children what MPs do every day."
