West End Road in Ruislip has been closed in both directions following an incident this afternoon (Friday September 8).

Several police cars are on the scene dealing with the incident, which happened around 4pm.

Transport for London has said on its website: "[A4180] West End Road (HA4) (Both Directions) at the junction of Berkeley Close - Road is blocked following collision."

Full police statement on the incident

Here is what the latest information from police:

Police were called to West End Road, j/w Berkeley Close at just before 1500hrs on Friday, 8 September to reports of a road traffic collision.

At the scene, an 11-year-old girl had been in collision with a Nissan Micra car.

The girl was taken by London Ambulance Service to a west London hospital for treatment to a leg injury.

Her family has been notified and are with her. We await an update on her condition.

The driver is assisting police with enquiries. Hillingdon police are investigating, no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

West End Road has been closed for around two hours after an 11-year-old girl was struck by a car.

The girl has been taken to a major trauma centre.

London Ambulance Service were called to the scene of the crash at 2.55pm.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a single responder in a car and an Advanced Paramedic to the scene.”

The girl was treated on the scene for a leg injury but had to be taken to a major trauma centre “as a priority”.

One eyewitness told getwestlondon that multiple ambulances had attended the scene but have now left.
