A high street charity shop in Ruislip has had a much-needed makeover, and will hold a winter promotion to celebrate.

The Michael Sobell Hospice charity shop, on Ruislip High Street, was revamped with vibrant interior and exterior to match the new corporate branding of the charity’s recently opened flagship shop in Eastcote.

The shop, which has been in the High Street for 15 years, was closed between Christmas and New Year to complete the renovations.

Elaine Howell, Ruislip Shop Manager, said: “We have been looking forward to the shop revamp for a long time and are really thrilled with the results.

“We hope that that our existing local customers will enjoy the new look shop and hope to attract some new shoppers to browse our wide range of items for sale.”

The shop now has a new sign, new lighting and flooring, a new counter and has been completely redecorated.

The makeover was carried out by a team of local tradesmen and volunteers to keep costs down.

Richard Haines, Retail Trustee at Michael Sobell Hospice, said: “We are delighted with the new shop makeover.

“Thanks to the help of local tradesmen and our volunteers, it has achieved all of our objectives andall within the tight deadline and budget constraints.”
