A ROUGH sleeper flew into a wild rage, throwing chairs and computer equipment around Hounslow Civic Centre, after being refused council accommodation, a court was told.
Hussein Karimi, now of Maple Road, Hayes, went to the council offices in Lampton Road, Hounslow, with a representative of homelessness project No Second Night Out on December 13 last year, Feltham Magistrates’ Court was told on Thursday, June 27.
He was told he was ‘unsuitable’ for council housing, at which point he became angry and grabbed hold of computer monitors and chairs, holding them above his head and throwing them to the ground, Roy Pershad, prosecuting, told the court.
Karimi’s defence counsel said the 25-year-old was sorry for his actions but that he suffered
from hallucinations and believed people were laughing at him at the time.
Karimi, who admitted one count of affray and another of criminal damage, was sentenced to a
six-month community order and told to pay £250 compensation.
