POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses after a violent cash transit robbery in Hayes.
Two suspects assaulted a security guard as she entered Lloyds Bank in East Avenue at 11.30 on Tuesday.
Police were called after one of the suspects assaulted the guard as she entered the bank and snatched a quantity of cash from her before fleeing on a motorbike on which the driver had been lying in wait.
Both suspects had their visors down and were wearing dark motorcycle clothing with their dark helmets, and escaped on a high-powered bike.
The female security guard received minor injuries to her arm and received first aid treatment at the scene.
It is the second cash transit robbery in Hayes in three weeks, with security guard being shot in a late night raid in March.
