A BUNGLING robber escaped with an empty cash box after holding up a security guard at knifepoint.
The thug pulled the blade and threatened his victim outside Sainsbury’s, in Northfield Avenue, Northfields.
He then ran across the road and along Belsize Avenue at about 10.30am on January 10.
The knifeman is of mixed race and wore a scarf around his face.
It follows a similar raid on a security guard carrying money to the Royal Bank of Scotland Bank, in Ealing High Street, last month.
The two attackers were unarmed but managed to break the guard’s grip on the cash box at about noon on December 30.
Nobody was injured and there have been no arrests in either crime.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
