A 40-YEAR-OLD pedestrian has been named as the victim of a road collision on the North Circular.
Alan Robert Palmer, of no fixed address, died at the scene of the incident, which happened on Tuesday March 27 at 10pm.
Police were called out to a serious road traffic collision on the northbound carriageway of the North Circular Road, opposite the Mercedes Benz showroom.
A Blue Nissan Micra was in collision with the man.
Despite treatment by the London Ambulance Service and air ambulance, Mr Palmer died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination took place at Uxbridge mortuary on Thursday morning and gave cause of death as multiple injuries.
An inquest is due to be opened at the West London Coroner's court today.
Mr Palmer's next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not stop at the scene, but was found by police within a mile of the collision.
A woman in her fifties, was arrested and taken to a west London Police Station.
She has been released on bail to re-attend a police station at the end of April.
DS Chris Osborne, of the Road Death Investigation Unit at Alperton, said: "Although this happened late at night it is still a busy section of road. I am appealing to anyone who saw the collision to contact us in order that we can get a full picture of exactly what happened. If anyone saw either the pedestrian or car at any time before or after the incident I would like them to get in touch".
