A passionate fashionista has beat hundreds of guys and gals in a competition to be crowned Mr and Miss Vintage UK.
Joanna Minch, 23 from North Harrow entered the competition run by Twinwood Festival who celebrate the style and music of the 1930's, 40's and 50's.
This year they launched the competition Mr & Miss Vintage UK, Joanna who works as the arts marketing assistant at Harrow Arts Centre in Hatch End has made it into the final, she will attend the festival hosted in Bedfordshire in August to try and be crowned the winner.
Joanna who attended Longfield Primary School in Duke's Avenue, North Harrow and Whitmore High School in Porlock Avenue, West Harrow, has been really intrigued by vintage since she was 15 years-old and is particularly fond of the 1940's and 1950's which are the eras that she takes most of her style inspiration from.
She is always looking at photos and footage of glamorous women taking part in vintage pageants.
She said: “'I am so happy to have been picked for the competition. I never expected to make it into the final ten for Miss Vintage UK and I can't wait to go to the Twinwood Festival.”
The contest will celebrate those people who best represent the iconic styles of the era, with prizes to be won from Twinwood Events, Vivien of Holloway, Vintage Life Magazine, Til The Sun Goes Down and more.
