RAPPING sensation Bashy has been announced as the headline act at this year's Harrow based Under One Sky Festival.

Less than five years ago the 25-year-old hip-hop star was a bus driver serving the 183 and 114 bus routes through Harrow but has risen the ranks to perform at Glastonbury and earn a MOBO nomination.

The 'Black Boys' and 'Fantasy' rapper has also provided music for box office hits Adulthood and 4,3,2,1 as well as collaborating with Gorillaz front man Damon Albarn, Tinie Tempah and Wretch 32.

As an ambassador of the 'Stop the Knife' campaign Bashy is keen to promote Harrow Councils Under One Sky message 'Harrow Hates Hate Crime'.

Olympic Boxing hopeful Hannah Beharry will be on hand to give some top tips in the themed Sports Zone, where families can join the countdown to next year’s games with a range of sports taster sessions including short tennis, wrestling, and martial arts and disability sports.

While younger visitors can get their thrills at the funfair, join in with the Dance Zone and enjoy the live music stage.

Mums and dads can indulge in tantalising food from the world food market and see what’s on offer at the arts, jewellery and gift stalls.

Throughout the day visitors can swing their hips with Zumba workshops, the latest craze in dance fitness and the ‘Carnival of Nations’ themed festival parade.

The festival, which runs from 12noon to 8pm on Sunday, June 26, is just £3 to enter and children under 12 enter free when accompanied by a paying adult.
