As part of Chief of Air Staff Sir Stephen Dalton's visit to present awards to personnel at the station in West End Road, Ruislip, the RAF Battle Of Britain Memorial Flight has organised a flypast of one its Dakota aircraft across the base at about 12.20pm

A Typhoon fast jet will also overfly at about 12.35pm, and the RAF Falcons parachute display team will drop in between 2.45 and 3pm.

As the forecast is good there are not expected to be any cancellations for weather reasons.

The station has also announced that the annual Polish War Memorial commemoration service at the end of West End Road will take place on September 7 this year.

The event starts at noon with a Spitfire flypast. Air force officer cadets from Poland will be in attendance as usual.
