A party was thrown to celebrate a group of pupils winning the National General Knowledge Inter-School Quiz Championship 2014.

A team of four children from Oldfield Primary in Oldfield Lane North, Greenford , made it to first place by answering a question on Shakespeare at the finals in Oxford Town Hall on June 17.

The team, Fabian from year three, Sinan of year four, Anujan in year five, and year six pupil James, triumphed by being able to identify which play a selected quote was from.

The celebration was held all day on July 15 and started with a quiz made up of four teams; the winners, four governors, four teachers and four parents.

Inter-house quizzes and sports continued throughout the day, brain food snacks were given out, and the students let off balloons as a reminder to keep aiming high.
