Queensbury tube station's ticket office was closed this morning due to a 'staff shortage'.

At 6.45am, a member of staff wrote on a service information sign: "Ticket office is closed due to staff shortage. To purchase tickets, top up Oyster cards, please use ticket machines or go to the newsagent shop."

London was brought to a halt last month following strikes over the Mayor of London Boris Johnson's plan which would see ticket offices closed and jobs lost.

Unions believe this would have a detrimental impact on London's underground system.

Assembly members now hope that a charter guaranteeing minimum levels of service for the Tube could be a way of halting ticket office closures.

What do you think? Do you use your ticket office?
