HAVING read about Kate Middleton in your newspaper, I thought perhaps the following might be of interest (Look at your history Kate, Uxbridge and West Drayton Gazette, November 24).
Both I and a cousin of mine attended Featherstone Road Infants' and Junior schools in Southall, at the same time as Kate's grandfather, Ronald Goldsmith, was a pupil there.
Also our grandmother owned a sweet shop in Clarence Street, known as Woodley's, where the Goldsmith children bought their sweets, and ice-cream, which our grandmother made herself.
Perhaps this may jog the memory of other readers.
