A CARDBOARD cut-out of Her Majesty managed to fool a number of Pinner residents as it was paraded around by a group of local youngsters.

Hara Kaur, 12, and Jaran Singh, 9, of Uxbridge Road were joined by friends Jeevan Sidhu, 10, and Teah Sidhu, 13, on Bank Holiday Monday to enjoy the local festivities.

They were not expecting to be given a life size cardboard cut-out of the Queen by a family friend, so made the most of the gift by sharing it with the community.

Hara and Jaran's father, Rakha Singh, said: "It was given to them and so they took it out into the street, just down the road from the official Hatch End Jubilee celebrations. People loved it, when they drove past they were tooting their horns and cheering. They really enjoyed it.

"It looked so realistic, and from a glance I think a few people were fooled."
