Pogo-sticks and scooters were awarded to pupils for outstanding attendance.

Wood End Infants school in Whitton Avenue West, Northolt , presented 68 children with the gifts on Friday (July 18), at the end of term.

34 students had 100 per cent attendance and were always on time over the academic year, 20 achieved the 100 per cent attendance with the occasional late arrival and 14 winners had only missed one school session.

Parents, grandparents, carers and members of the governing body were also invited to the assembly which congratulated the pupils.

The prizes were given out by Headteacher Lucy Rodgers, Deputy Headteacher Madhu Bhachu and Assistant Headteachers Sharon Gorrie and Debra Squires.

Ms Rodgers opened the ceremony by saying what a huge achievement it was for so many children.
