Pupils from four schools were up in Ealing Magistrates' Court on Saturday - but they had not put a foot wrong.

They were among more than 4,000 students taking part in this year's National Mock Trial Competition.

Students from Dormers Wells High School, Northolt High School, Sacred Heart Language College, and The Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls put forward a team of 13 students from years 8 and 9 who played the parts of magistrates, lawyers, witnesses, court staff and the defendant.

The winners were Dormers Wells and runner up the Sacred Heart so the Southall school will now take part in the regional finals at Hendon Magistrates' Court on the May 8.
