A PUBLIC meeting will be held this weekend following recent clashes between teaching unions and management at Villiers High School in Southall.

Last week Ealing NUT and the Association of Teachers and Lecturers announced they would be striking in protest at alleged mismanagement and bullying by headteacher Juliet Strang.

Ms Strang, along with the board of governors at the school, has strenuously denied any such accusations.

Nick Grant, secretary for Ealing NUT said a meeting will be held to keep parents informed at The Dominion Centre in The Green, Southall on Sunday (December 5) at 3pm.

Local councillors and Ealing Southall MP Virendra Sharma have also been invited to attend.

Mr Grant said the meeting was being held to make sure parents understand why strike action is being taken.

At the time of going to press, no dates for action had been announced.
