A series of public consultation meetings will take place on development proposals for a significant site in Ealing.
Exhibitions on emerging plans for 9-42 The Broadway, between Ealing Broadway station and the former Arcadia Shopping Centre, will take place in 7a The Broadway at the following dates and times:
- Thursday January 29 from 4pm- 8pm
- Friday January 30 from 4pm- 8pm
- Saturday January 31 from 10am- 4pm.
Proposals currently include c reating a new pedestrian route between the station and The Broadway l ined with boutique shops and cafés, modern new shops along The Broadway, around 200 homes, improvements to the streets and spaces along The Broadway.
This large section of the town centre was purchased by property investors Benson Elliot at the end of 2012, who at the end of last year completed the turnaround of the former Arcadia Shopping Centre into 1-8 The Broadway.
New store tenants TK Maxx and McDonalds have been joined by Morrisons today (January 19).
Benson Elliot has now appointed Londonewcastle as development managers for the regeneration and architects Allies & Morrison.
A planning application will be submitted in spring.
