PRINCE William helped save a family badly injured in a car crash in a West Drayton road.

A car and a van had collided head-on, and the Prince who was returning from a night out in London in his limo was among the first on the scene.

The crash happened on Wednesday at 1.17am in Bath Road, West Drayton with an Asian family from Slough, Berkshire, being badly hurt.

William's bodyguards stopped him from getting out of his car to help because of strict anti-kidnap rules but he used his first aid skills to instruct them to assist the victims.

Two ambulance crews and a fast response car attended the scene, where one patient was suffering from shock at was treated.

Another man was taken to Wexham Park Hospital, Berkshire, and treated for head injuries.
