THE Pride in our People winners had another proud moment this week when they were invited on a tour of parliament.

Every year, Ealing Central and Acton MP Angie Bray, leads the visit to recognise the achievements of the winners of the Pride Awards, run jointly by the Gazette and the University of West London.

Ms Bray said: “One of the highlights of the year for Ealing is when we get the opportunity to see what individuals do, whether it’s embracing a difficulty as with a disability, or choosing to help their fellow human beings.

“This is an opportunity to show them a wonderful place, where I work, and to say thank you and show them some respect.”

The group was shown Westminster Hall, the 1297 Chapel of St Mary Undercroft, and Portcullis House – the modern meeting and office area, before seeing the Central Lobby and the House of Commons.
