ONCE again I would like to give praise to Hillingdon Hospital for the marvellous treatment I received in Kennedy Ward after my hip operation six weeks ago.

The staff were amazing and so very patient, although I believe they were rushed off their feet most times of the day, and they still kept smiling!

I had constant attention day and night, and nothing was too much trouble for them (even during the night)

All the people that worked there, from the nurses to the physios, were very caring and friendly.

Even the food was good, with lots of different choices which a lot of people had moaned about in the past.

The ward and toilets I found were very clean, and the sister made sure that standards were kept very high.

My surgeon, Mr Vedi, and his consultants came to make sure I was feeling OK on the day following my surgery, and told me that my operation had been a success.

He joked with me about not putting on any weight as he saw that I had been given lots of chocolates (only, of course,to ensure a speedy recovery).

My after care was arranged through the hospital so that I didn't even have to worry about that, and before I left the hospital I was given my medication and told if there was anything I needed to ask then I could ring or just go back.

Let Hillingdon Hospital, and especially Kennedy Ward, get good coverage instead of all the negative things we hear.
