Well, now we know - regardless of the efforts of local residents to save their post offices, presenting reasonable arguments to prevent closure - all three sub-post offices are to close.

Saving money, not providing an important social service is the Government agenda.

Was there ever any intention for the Government to 'listen' to local residents through the consultation process? No, it was a sham - just like the Heathrow consultation, resulting overwhelmingly, in the electorate expressing their views accordingly.

With regular lift failure, local residents will be watching with concern, the way WH Smith provide for the additional visitors to the post office within their Hounslow High Street store.
