A PAIR of thieves who robbed a shop worker in broad daylight were stopped in their tracks by a member of the public.

Just before 11am on Monday, December 6, a Phones 4U employee was on his way to bank the shops takings at the Post Office inside Costcutter, in Eden Street, Kingston.

Just as he was about to enter he was attacked by two men in their early to mid 20's. A fight broke out which resulted in one of the robbers getting hold of the money and fleeing the scene.

A brave member of the public tripped up the suspect who as a result dropped the money, before fleeing in the direction of Lady Booth Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses to identify the men.

The man who had the money is described as being mixed race, who was wearing a grey and white hooded top, blue tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the side, white trainers and was also wearing a black beenie hat.

The other man is described as being a white man who was wearing a grey top with a large orange motif.
