Four wards are left to announce in the Brent Council local elections and one ward could be subject to a recount.

Candidates in Sudbury, Northwick Park, Mapesbury and Dollis Hill are still waiting to hear whether they have been elected to represent their ward as a councillor.

However, discussions delayed the announcements as there were questions over whether a recount would be held in the Northwick Park, Dollis Hill and Mapesbury wards.

A recount will not be held in Northwick Park ward, after agents for the Conservative party requested one should be done.

The same decision was made for Dollis Hill after Liberal Democrat agents requested a recount in that ward.

Discussions are still ongoing for the Mapesbury ward.

The Conservatives had two councillors in the Northwick Park ward at the last election and the Liberal Democrats had all the seats in Dollis Hill and Mapesbury.

So far, after 17 wards have been announced the Liberal Democrats have no seats and the Conservatives have six, with the rest being held by Labour.
