Posh and Becks swapped the malls of LA for Hounslow's Treaty Centre as they kicked off the town's Christmas festivities on Saturday.

Shoppers mobbed the famous couple - or at least their lookalikes - as they browsed the shelves of the shopping complex.

Families queued up to have their picture taken with the impersonators, leaving Father Christmas and his elves - who will be in the centre every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas - in the shade.

All proceeds from the event will go to the Shooting Star Children's Hospice in Hampton, which will also benefit from a nominal £1 parking charge every Sunday during December.

Treaty Centre manager Robin Arbenz said he was amazed by the turnout, adding that visitor numbers had remained 'robust' recently despite the recession.
