Having read your article 'Airparcs pool is disgusting' (Chronicle, September 4), I would totally disagree that the state of the baths is just a one-off, as stated by the company that is employed for the upkeep.

I regularly went to Ladies' Night every Tuesday, but on the last few occasions I found the state of the changing rooms, the showers and the pool were an absolute disgrace.

I asked to speak to the manager but she said that she could do nothing about this as she had a shortage of staff. I then pointed out to her that two members of staff were just sitting in the office chatting.

She offered to give me my money back, which I declined. I said I would rather see somebody doing something about the mess.

She suggested I fill out a questionnaire and a member of staff would contact me.

As I was leaving the two members of staff left the office to go into the changing rooms, I presume to start cleaning.

That was two years ago. I never received a reply, and I have never been back.

I am only too sorry to hear that the situation is still the same, if not worse.
