AN ESCAPED killer is on the loose Hounslow Police have warned.

Residents are being asked to keep an eye out for 20-year-old Fida Mohammed Utmanzi who absconded from the North London Clinic in Edmonton on March 8.

Officers were notified by hospital staff when he disappeared and enquiries are continuing to trace the man who stabbed someone to death last year.

Utmanzi was born in Afghanistan and was last seen wearing black Adidas pants with white stripes on the sides, a navy blue hooded top and grey trainers. Police describe him as 6ft 1 inches tall with short black hair, and he is known to have cigarette burns on his arms.

He was detained under the Mental Health Act indefinitely after being convicted of the manslaughter of Rasool Khan at the Old Bailey on January 8 this year.

Rasool was stabbed to death on March 3 2009.

Utmanzi had connections to the Tottenham, Fulham and Putney areas of London as well as Newcastle.

Members of the public are advised not to approach Utmanzi, but to call police immediately on 999.

Alternatively if anyone has seen him previously or has information that could assist the search they are asked to call detectives on 07717 483332.
