A POLICE officer's hunch has resulted in 300 cannabis plants being seized from a home in Brentford.
The officer was passing through Grosvenor Road on Tuesday October 4 when he smelled what he thought was cannabis.
After looking through the window he saw a man in the house, who he detained and charged.
A MET spokesman said: "It was a significant find, one or two plants could be for personal use, but this was a lot more than that."
The B-listed drugs would have an estimated street value of up £240,000.
19-year-old Neyuyn Ngoc Anh of no fixed address has been charged with producing cannabis.
He was tried at Feltham Magistrates Court on October 4 and the case was committed to Isleworth Crown Court on November 4. Mr Ngoc Anh will remain custody until then.
