A CRACK house has been closed down after magistrates were told residents living nearby had suffered harassment and violence from drug users and dealers.
The drug den, at 29 Bethany Waye, Feltham, was shut down on Monday,February 6, after a court order was issued banning the homeowner, Hussein Mohammed, from entering the property for three months.
Hounslow Council cabinet member for community safety, councillor Ed Mayne, said the closure came about thanks to residents, who tipped off police and the council's community safety co-ordinator.
The information led to a police search of the property in December, which found Class A drugs at the house.
Councillor Mayne said: "Local residents were being threatened, harassed and intimidated by the large number of drug users visiting the property. Working with the local community we got this place closed.
"No one has to put up with this kind of behaviour and we are determined to work with the police to get these places closed down and let residents live in peace.
"We can only help if we know what is going on, so I urge anyone who has any information about crime in their area to report it to their local police Safer Neighbourhoods Team."
