A WOMAN was assaulted by seven youths during an attempted robbery.

Brent Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident on November 9, at 5.40pm.

The 31-year-old woman got off the 487 bus in Acton Lane, Harlesden, near to the junction with Fairlight Avenue.

As she walked down Fairlight Avenue she became aware of a group of seven black youths walking along the road.

They approached her from behind and she was pushed to the floor.

Two of them kicked her in the head and body while a third youth tried to take her handbag.

The victim managed to keep hold of her handbag and the suspects ran off along Minet Avenue.

PC Liam Perry from the Priority Crime Unit said: “This is a completely unprovoked attack on a lone female who was making her way home. I urge anyone with any information to contact me on 020 8733 3038, or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
