THREE men were hurt when they tried to break up a late night brawl outside a pub in Richmond, say police.
Police and officers were called to reports of a fight involving eight youths outside O'Neils, in The Quadrant, at 2am on June 13. At least three people were treated at the scene for facial and head injuries.
Officers think it started when three passers by tried to intervene when a group of eight youths in their late teens to early twenties attacked a man. The group turned on the passers by and the fight quickly escalated.
A 19 year old man has been arrested and bailed on suspicion of assault.
Detective Sergeant Dave Bolton, of Richmond's serious violence unit, said: "I believe that there would have been a number of people out socialising in the Quadrant area around the time of the incident and I urge those people who may have witnessed the sequence of events that night to call us."
