POLICE want to trace a man caught on CCTV aboard a train when a knife was pulled on a passenger.
British Transport Police say he might have been involved in the incident, which took place on a Paddington train travelling between West Drayton and Southall on Thursday, January 24.
The victim, a 22-year-old from Hornsey, north London, and a friend were sitting across from a man, who without warning got up and held a six-inch blade to his face.
He menacingly asked the victim whether he thought he would use the knife, before walking off. The shaken pair changed carriages and reported the incident.
Officers have carried out extensive enquiries, speaking to witnesses and viewing CCTV film from the train and station concourse.
PC David McNelis said: The victim was simply trying to make his way home when he was confronted with this violence. Id encourage anyone who recognises the man pictured to come forward.
If you recognise the man, call 0800 40 50 40, quoting B10/LNA of 13/03/2013. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
