DETECTIVES have released this e-fit image of a man wanted in connection with the attempted rape of a woman in Hounslow

The 35-year-old woman was walking home from Hounslow East Tube station on May 13, just after 1am, when she was approached by a man in his 20s.

They began talking and walked together along Kingsley Avenue in Hounslow, but then he suddenly grabbed her, pushed her to the ground and attempted to tear off her clothes.

The woman fought back and the man fled in the direction of Kingsley Road.

The assailant is described as Asian in appearance, slim and with a slight foreign accent.

Detective Sergeant Nicki Beecher, of Hounslow,said: “The victim showed remarkable bravery in confronting the suspect.”
