POLICE have released CCTV footage in a bid to track down a man who allegedly groped an Uxbridge woman on a train.

British Transport Police want to speak to the man pictured in connection with the incident, which happened on a train between Paddington and Ealing Broadway.

The 55-year-woman got on the train at Paddington and a man moved seats to sit next to her. He is to have asked personal questions before touching the victim's leg. He tried to touch her three more times before the woman stood up and shouted at him, say police.

The man got off the train at Ealing Broadway but the woman stayed on and later told police about his behaviour.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Steve Reay said: “The behaviour of this man was completely unacceptable. The victim was left shaken and made to feel very uncomfortable by his behaviour."

The incident is alleged to have taken place at around 5.45pm on January 29 but despite following up several lines of enquiry police said they have not been able to trace the man.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, quoting background reference B11/LNA of 29/03/2011, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
