POLICE may investigate claims fraudulent emails were sent to Brent Council after confirming the case would be dropped.
Brent Council received notification that an investigation in to potentially fraudulent emails sent through the planning portal in relation to the former Kensal Rise library building application would not be followed through by police .
Information supporting claims fraudulent emails had been sent to the council was collated by the authority and passed to police.
The police originally decided not to pursue this but now the material is being put under scrutiny once again.
The decision not to investigate is being reviewed and a final decision over whether the investigation will go ahead is expected tomorrow morning (Wednesday).
