An illegal brothel was shut down and three people arrested during a police sting in the early hours of Tuesday (03) morning.

Officers from the Met's club and vice squad swooped on the unassuming semi-detached property in Fulwood Avenue, Alperton, after complaints from neighbours about sex-hungry punters visiting both day and night.

They entered to find two young European prostitutes with clients in two upstairs rooms and one client waiting in the downstairs living room/reception area with the bordello's maid and security guard.

A price list of services the seedy brothel was offering was also discovered.

Sergeant Tim Boyall, from Alperton Safer Neighbourhoods Team, said: "The brothel has been causing a nuisance in the area and has been given formal warning notices to stop its activity in the past.

"However, we have received around 40 complaints from residents in the past four months so it is clearly still active so we decided to go in and shut it down."

The three-bedroomed brothel advertised in local newspapers under the name of Alperton Massage Parlour and Heaven's Massage Parlour and was operating seven days a week, between 11am and 4am.

Sergeant Boyall added: "It opens early in the morning and goes on until the early hours and the comings and goings have upset the local residents.

"Punters have also been approaching people in the street to find out where the brothel is."

Greek national Gionas Apostolos, 29, who acted as the brothel's security guard, was arrested along with the maid, who is yet to be named by police.

One of the male clients was also arrested for possessing stolen property.

The two sex workers and other two clients were cautioned and released without charge.
