A STUDENT and his family has publicly thanked three police officers who saved his life after he collapsed on a night out.

Andrew Marsden, 18, suffered heart palpitations in Uxbridge and fell to the ground. The officers stepped in and performed CPR.

He spent two days in a coma and a week in hospital before he was diagnosed with a ‘short circuit’ in his heart.

A small procedure at the Royal Brompton Hospital rectified the problem and Andrew is now back studying economics and accounting at Brunel University in Kingston Lane, Uxbridge.

He told the Gazette: “I remember nothing about the night at all. I don’t remember going to Liquid night club [in Uxbridge High Street]. The last thing I remember about the day was rowing earlier. Then I woke up in hospital.

“I can’t thank the police officers enough for what they did for me on Halloween night. They saved my life.”
