POLICE are hunting a gang of youths who attacked a man in a Wealdstone park on Sunday evening.
The victim, a 24-year-old man, had gone to Byron Recreation Park to play football with his friends when he was assaulted by a group of up to seven men in their early 20s between 7pm and 7.30pm.
The men, who have been described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, kicked and punched the man to the ground before two park-goers intervened.
After spotting the attack these two men, one black and one white, came to the victim's aid – leading him away from the park to a friend's house nearby.
The pair both left the scene prior to the arrival of the London Ambulance Service and police, and officers are desperate for them to come forward for more information.
The victim attended hospital and was later discharged with minor injuries.
