The bravest and brightest of Ealing Borough's police and residents have been celebrated in a commendation ceremony.
From smashing criminal gangs, facing down armed attackers, to painstaking detective work and patient negotiating there was plenty of reasons to be proud for the recipients and their families on Friday.
It is the third event for Ealing's top officer chief superintendent Sultan Taylor who addressed a packed hall at the Glaxo SmithKline Leisure Club in Oldfield lane North, Greenford.
He was joined by council leader Jason Stacey, Ealing mayor Ian Green and Ealing North MP Stephen Pound.
Mr Taylor said: "I'm very proud of all my staff, not only those at these commendations but also those behind the scenes.
"It's great to see so many members of the public receiving commendations, it just shows how the police and public are working together."
See the Ealing Gazette on Friday for the stories behind the awards.
