HILLINGDON Police are appealing for more information following an unprovoked assault in an Uxbridge shopping centre which left a man hospitalised.

On Saturday 25 October at 5.25pm a 45 year-old man was punched in the face while talking on his mobile phone and holding his shopping at the entrance to Fairlie House flats in Pantile Walk, The Mall Pavillions, Uxbridge.

The victim sustained a broken jaw in the attack and spent several days days in hospital as a result.

The attacker had been trying to gain entrance to Fairlie House through the main security doors at the entrance near to the Poundland store and Photo shop and ran off through the shopping centre towards the stalls area of Market Square.

The suspect is described as a white male, in either his late teens or early 20s, of medium build and around six foot tall.

He had scruffy collar length fair hair which was over his ears and a gaunt looking face and he was wearing a baggy light coloured top.

DC Mark Slade said: "This was an unprovoked assault, which resulted in serious injury. There would have been many people in the area of the shopping centre at the time of the asault. We are appealing to assist in our enquiries to help identify this male."
